"As followers of the Light we should always beware the wrath of Evil, yet we cannot let ourselves forget that justice always has its day. Remember this always...both followers of Light and of Darkness... remember that Evil can be destroyed."

                                                                         -King Dander XII

Greetings. Allow me to tell you about another world...a world far different from yours. I am the supreme being that has created this other world, and I am the same being that is now trying to save it. It has a long history. Many things have happened upon and beneath its land, oceans, and even in its air. This is a place where many things exist. Many races, many powers, and many things that you couldn't possibly even imagine.they all exist in this world.

This world, my world...is called Tyria. Nearly 600 years ago, something happened. Something that all supreme beings fear, something that can change a world for a very long time...if not forever. That something was the appearance of true Evil within my realm. While I watched my world helplessly, a great cataclysm destroyed nearly half of Tyria. Lands parted, the seas rose, mountains sprouted from the ground, cities were destroyed, so many creatures died, and at the center of it all...a Rift of Shadows formed between two newly forged continents. This rift connected a forbidden world to mine. A gate between Hell and Tyria.

Almost immediately Evil beasts, demons, and monsters marched out of the Shadow Rift and began terrorizing the land. The races separated from each other and whatever natural racial hatred there was between each other grew even worse as they all sought for something to blame for the terror. The humans worked together to defeat the common enemy at first, but now they have divided into two separate kingdoms and are at constant war. The world has been brought into a state of hopeless sorrow. It happened so fast. I have little power over what path of destiny Tyria follows now.

This is the part I want you to play. I ask of you...are you worthy enough to change Tyria's destiny? Can you help...or is the fate of this world unchangeable? To me...it does not matter how you change it, or how you go about doing it. If you choose the path of the Light, you can liberate the people from the shackles of Darkness...or perhaps you will choose the path of Darkness, and at least the suffering will stop. It matters not whether they die or live, but if they must die, my final gift to them will to be to stop the conflicts, and make their fate final.

You will become a leader of your own campaign. You may rise to be a great ruler, or you may suffer bitter defeat after bitter defeat and be forced to live in the shadows. Every action you take will always directly or indirectly affect the lives of thousands...your people and the people of other leaders. You must always consider how others will respond...great nations will be watching your actions closely, and you must never forget about the Evil that lurks in many places.

The only drawback is that while I still have the power to bring from your world to mine, I can only keep you here for so long. Once a week, you'll "go" to Tyria just long enough to get the status of your followers, and then you will make the decisions as to what they will do next. The advantages are as follows: what you are on your world does not have to relate to what you are on Tyria...you can be anyone you want to be. You have the freedom to do pretty much whatever you want, as long as its possible. But keep in mind that your every action will have a consequence that could greatly affect the rest of your campaign.

You are my last hope. This is your chance to be a part of something great, without putting yourself in any real danger.

Can you save my war-torn world?

Or will you atleast seal its doom?
